Del Mar, CA–The San Diego County Fair is calling on creators to showcase their talents at this summer’s event, offering opportunities to compete for blue ribbons, cash prizes, and special awards.
With dozens of competition categories spanning the arts, crafts, culinary creations, and agricultural achievements, the San Diego County Fair highlights and rewards outstanding work from across the region.
At the heart of the fair experience, these contests transform everyday hobbies into extraordinary exhibits, showcasing the depth of talent throughout San Diego County. From first-time entrants to seasoned competitors, students, professionals, and families, participants are recognized for their creativity, dedication, and skill.
This year’s theme, “Once Upon a Fair,” highlights the art of storytelling in all its forms, with each entry offering a unique story to tell.
“Whether you want to admire others’ talents, learn from them, or share your own skills with the world, the San Diego County Fair has opportunities for you,” said Carlene Moore, CEO of the 22nd District Agricultural Association, which produces the annual Fair. “Our Fair is an opportunity to be part of something meaningful — and something that people truly cherish.”
Entrants receive free fair admission, valuable feedback from experienced judges, opportunities to connect with others in their field, and the chance to see their work displayed in museum-quality exhibits viewed by hundreds of thousands of fairgoers.

The San Diego County Fair runs for 20 days from June 10 through July 5 (closed Mondays and Tuesdays) at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
