Boulevard, CA–The Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a 75-year-old man who was found in his Boulevard residence on Saturday afternoon.
The incident unfolded around 3:30 p.m. when deputies from the Pine Valley Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to assist Cal Fire at a home on the 900 block of Tierra Del Sol Road. The call for help came after the elderly man was found unresponsive inside his residence.
Upon their arrival, deputies were informed by Cal Fire personnel that the man had died. When deputies entered the home, they discovered signs of trauma to the victim’s head, prompting them to request assistance from the Sheriff’s Homicide Unit.
Investigators from the Homicide Unit have taken over the case. The circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear, and detectives are working to uncover more information to determine what led to the man’s death.
