Bonsall, CA–Sheriff’s detectives are investigating two separate burglaries at a Bonsall restaurant and believe the same suspect may be responsible for both incidents.
The first burglary occurred shortly before 1 a.m. on July 11 at Backdraft Bar and Grill in the 5500 block of Mission Road.
According to the business owner, the suspect entered a locked back patio area, removed security cameras and attempted to detach an 80-inch television from the wall. The damage was estimated at approximately $300.
Surveillance footage captured a male suspect wearing black-and-white Vans shoes with white laces, dark jeans and a black T-shirt. The Sheriff’s Office said the suspect appeared to be either Hispanic or White.
A second burglary was reported at the same business shortly after midnight on September 25.
Investigators said the suspect again entered the locked patio area, but this time stole miscellaneous restaurant supplies valued at approximately $950. Surveillance footage shows the suspect wearing camouflage pants, black-and-white Vans shoes with white laces, and a maroon-and-black motorcycle-style jacket bearing a large “Riding Legends Motors” logo on the back.
The suspect was also seen placing items into a black trash bag before leaving the property.
Based on similarities in the surveillance footage, detectives believe the same person may be responsible for both burglaries.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
