El Cajon, CA–Authorities have identified a 35-year-old San Diego man who was found dead near a roadway in unincorporated El Cajon on October 7.
San Diego County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at 11:10 a.m. of a deceased person near the intersection of Willow Glen Drive and Dehesa Road.
Deputies arriving at the scene found an adult male deceased in a vegetated area alongside the road. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office responded and took custody of the body.
On Tuesday, the Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Alexis Daniel Abarca Moreno, 35, of San Diego.
The cause and manner of death remain pending, according to the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The man’s family has been notified. The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation.
