Oceanside, CA–Investigators are seeking information from the public in connection with a shooting Friday night in Oceanside that left a man dead, Oceanside Police Department said.

Around 4 p.m., the Oceanside Police Department responded to reports of graffiti in progress near Joe Balderrama Recreation Center on the 700 block of San Diego Street. As officers responded to the area additional calls were received of shots fired in the same area. When officers arrived on the scene they located a deceased Hispanic male adult who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. 

Officers believed the shooting to be an isolated incident and there is no active threat to public safety. Investigators are conducting a homicide investigation in the area.
