SAN DIEGO–A female pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday morning in downtown San Diego after she stumbled and fell in front of a passing vehicle.
The 9:30 a.m. accident occurred in front of the San Diego Convention Center on Harbor Drive at Fifth Avenue, according to San Diego police.
Authorities say the woman, 53, was in San Diego to attend Comic-Con International 2012.
Paramedics responded to the scene and transported the woman to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The woman’s name was withheld pending family notification.
