Warner Springs Shooting Victims Dies

WARNER SPRINGS–The victim in a shooting incident which occurred on the Los Coyotes Indian Reservation over the weekend has passed away from her injuries, authorities say.

The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Carrie Deatherage. She was the sister of the suspect, Sandra Stoneburner.

The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has completed the autopsy. The cause of death was a single gunshot wound to the head. The manner of death was determined to be homicide.

Stoneburner is currently still in custody and will be charged with murder.
