SAN DIEGO–Looking for a good deal on a Bookmobile, Command Medical Center or just a horse trailer or family sedan? The County is putting its surplus fleet, including some specialty vehicles, on the auction block Saturday, July 17.
The public auction is being run by TNT Auction Company from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Ramona Rodeo Grounds, 421 Aqua Lane. The public can register and view items beginning at 7 a.m. on the day of the auction. Vehicles from the cities of Coronado, National City, Indio and other government agencies will be included.
All items will be also available for inspection July 15-16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are available for preview on the company’s website with photos and brief descriptions at http://www.tntauction.com/.
Among the County’s items are 160 Ford vans, trucks and sedans, all-terrain vehicles, tractor mower, and a cart with a dump bed. On the exotic vehicle side, the County is auctioning a bookmobile, an ambulance, a refrigerator truck, a mobile office trailer and a command vehicle which includes a microwave, sink, refrigerator, table, bathroom and wheelchair lift.
All proceeds from the County auction sales maintain and replenish the vehicle fleet.
