San Diego County Crime Stoppers and Investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Western Division are asking for assistance from the public in identifying a suspect wanted for auto theft, grand theft and burglary.

Investigators said on January 11, an unknown white male suspect used a stolen credit card and a stolen driver’s license from a victim of a vehicle burglary to rent a vehicle at Hertz rent-a-car on N. Harbor Dr. in San Diego. The vehicle was never returned to Hertz rent-a-car and was listed as a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was recovered on February 16.

On February 3, the same suspect used the victim’s stolen driver’s license and a fraudulent credit card to rent a hotel room at the Courtyard Marriott in Liberty Station; the suspect stole a flat screen television and several other items out of the hotel room.
