UCSD To Conduct Earthquake Study Near MCAS Miramar

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR–The University of California San Diego is scheduled to perform an earthquake study in the vicinity of MCAS Miramar June 13 to July 1. The purpose of the study is to better understand how buildings perform during large-magnitude earthquakes.

Drones participating in the study may be seen in federal air space from the I-15. Base officials are cooperating with UCSD and the Federal Aviation Administration to facilitate the safe conduct of the study.
