POWAY—Two teens were injured during a physical altercation at a party Saturday at a Poway residence, Sheriff’s deputies say.
It’s estimated at least eight people attending the party were involved in the fight, Sheriff deputy spokesman says.
During the confrontation, an 18-year-old man was stabbed in the torso multiple times. Friends drove him to Pomerado Hospital where he was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Paramedics arrived at the 13200 Block Lingre Avenue residence and transported a 16-year-old participant who was knocked unconscious. He was also treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect who stabbed the victim was not at the residence when deputies arrived. Just after midnight, detectives from the Poway Sheriff’s Station arrived to continue the investigation at the scene and at the hospital.
On Sunday, detectives arrested 18-year-old Kueth Deng in front of his home in San Diego. Deng was booked at the San Diego Central Jail for attempted murder in connection with the stabbing, and committing a felony while out on bail. Deng is currently being held without bail.
The investigation is continuing.
