Two People Arrested In Hemet In Oceanside Fatal Shooting

OCEANSIDE–Hemet police officers Saturday arrested two people suspected in the fatal shooting Friday of an Oceanside man, Oceanside police department reports.

Authorities arrested Hector Galvez, 30, and Jamie Radloff, 27 in Hemet for the alleged killing of Joel Bishop, 45, in the 1700 block of South Myers Street in Oceanside. Bishop sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported for medical treatment where he later succumbed to his injuries. Both Galvez and Radloff were charged with homicide.

Hemet police observed the suspect near the 900 block of west Florida Avenue. While officers were attempting to take Galvez into custody, an officer involved shooting occurred. No police officers or bystanders were injured during the incident.

Galvez was treated and released at a nearby hospital and transferred to the custody of the Oceanside police.

Motive for the homicide is still being investigated. The victim and suspects were acquainted with each other, according to Oceanside homicide investigators.
