July 4, 2016 By sdcnews

CARLSBAD–Authorities arrested two men in San Diego and Encinitas in connection with a residential robbery June 20 in Carlsbad.

On July 3, Carlsbad police officers arrested 27-year-old Jonathan Paul Anderson of Encinitas. Earlier that day, officers from the San Diego Police Department arrested 25-year-old Cesar Gabriel Haman of Vista in San Diego. Both were arrested in association with the June 20 residential robbery.

Investigators followed evidence located at the crime scene that lead to the duos arrest.  Investigators also found that Haman had arranged for the robbery and was acquainted with one of the victims in the house at the time of the robbery.

Haman and Anderson were arrested for robbery, stalking, conspiracy and burglary.  Haman was also arrested for assault with a firearm.  Haman was booked into the Central Detention Facility in San Diego with bail set at $500,000. Anderson was booked into the Vista Detention Facility with bail set at $100,000.

On June 20, at 4:58 a.m., Carlsbad police department received a call of a suspicious incident that just occurred at an apartment complex in the 2600 block of Jefferson Street.

The caller reported that he was awakened by a subject who removed a window screen and climbed through the living room window. He further reported that when he confronted the subject, the subject produced a handgun and demanded cash and cell phones. The reporting party gave the subject twenty-five dollars and the subject left through the front door.

The suspect was described as a white male adult in his 20s, approximately 6’ and 175 to 180 lbs. The subject was reportedly wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a yellow hood covering his face.

Officers searched the area with the assistance of a tracking K9 but did not find the subject.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Anyone with information about the subject are encouraged to call the Police Department at 760-931-2197.
