ALPINE—Two people were arrested by Sheriff’s deputies in connection with a possible domestic violence incident at a Alpine resident.
Deputies from the Alpine and Santee Stations responded to the area on October 24 of the Alpine Village Apartments to investigate a possible domestic violence incident. While en-route to the call there were reports of shots fired at the same location. They were able to locate evidence of a shooting but were not able to locate any victims or suspects within the immediate area. A perimeter was established and neighboring apartments were evacuated.
Deputies were able to contact the occupants of the apartment and eventually, five occupants were contacted and questioned. Two of the occupants, 24-year-old Uriah Suhail Odish was arrested for delaying a peace officer, and 20-year-old Austyn Halsema was arrested for a felony warrant.
There were no injuries to any residents or law enforcement. Alpine detectives are investigating the incident.
