SAN DIEGO–The third-annual Aztec Invitational, a golf fundraising tournament supporting the athletic programs at San Diego State, will be held at Bernardo Heights Country Club in Rancho Bernardo on Monday, May 10.
The event gives Aztec fans the opportunity to golf alongside Aztec legends and San Diego community celebrities, all the while supporting the 500 intercollegiate student-athletes who compete each season for the Scarlet and Black.
The Aztec Invitational, in past years, has seen appearances by some of the biggest celebrities in SDSU and San Diego sports, such as Don Coryell, Brian Sipe, and Dan Fouts. In addition to the celebrity meet and greets, fans will have the chance to interact with the head coaches and student-athletes from all 18 athletic programs at San Diego State. The all-day event will have several other features for registered supporters, from a barbeque lunch provided by L&L Hawaiian Barbeque to a silent auction.
The Aztec Invitational will kick off with an 11 a.m. registration and lunch, followed by a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Registration is $300 for individual playing spots and includes a round of golf, a cart, range access, and admission to all of the various events set up throughout the day. For $1200, a group of four can spend the day golfing with a celebrity guest. A $50 Post-Tournament Reception-Only ticket is also available.
To register for this special event, fill out the Aztec Invitational 2010 registration form. Sponsorship opportunities are available as well, ranging from the $500 Supporting Sponsor Package to the $5000 Presenting Sponsor Package.
