ALPINE–A suspicious device was found in a trash can in one of the restrooms at Viejas Casino on Friday afternoon, a Sheriff’s Deputy spokesman says.
An employee of the casino had located what appeared to be some type of grenade that was left by someone in a trash can.
The suspicious device was a military smoke grenade. It is unknown who had left the smoke grenade and there were no threats made toward the casino.
The incident is still under investigation.
