Search Warrant Served At Fallbrook Marijuana Dispensary

October 15, 2016 By sdcnews

FALLBROOK–In recent weeks, the Fallbrook Crime Suppression Team has made numerous contacts with people leaving the Golden State CBD Marijuana Dispensary.

During nearly every contact, marijuana or marijuana products were found on the person who had just left the dispensary. The dispensary, located in the 600 East Alvarado Street in Fallbrook, is within 600 feet of a church. This is a violation of dispensary related rules as regulated by the County of San Diego, according to authorities.

As with the State of California, the County of San Diego has specific guidelines with regard to the distance a marijuana related storefront must be from certain public places such as, schools, churches, playgrounds, and other places.

In May of 2015, the dispensary was served with a cease and desist order by the Sheriff’s Licensing Division. However, the dispensary chose to ignore the order and continued distributing marijuana products.

On Thursday, deputies and detectives served a search warrant at the dispensary. US currency, computer equipment, several pounds of bulk marijuana, THC related products were among the items confiscated. Two employees were detained during service of the warrant. However, they were not arrested and were released at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
