San Diego’s Biggest Block Party Gaslamp Mardi Gras Returns

SAN DIEGO–Gaslamp Mardi Gras, the city’s epic block party and parade, returns to downtown San Diego February 28.

The 23rd annual event begins with a parade filled with beads, floats, samba dancers, and plenty of other entertainment.

Following the parade, the Gaslamp Quarter will be transformed into Bourbon Street that will feature live entertainment, drinks and food.

For party-goers who can’t wait Feb. 28, a brand new event was added to the Mardi Gras roster: The Big Easy Bites and Booze Tour. This Feb. 25 New Orleans tasting event will take guests on a tour of delicious Mardi Gras inspired bites and sinful sips throughout the historic Gaslamp Quarter from 1 to 5 p.m. Indulge the offerings from 20 hotspots all while collecting beads just in time to deck yourself out for Fat Tuesday.

Collect 10 beads and head over to check-in to receive an exclusive VIP beads which will grant you access into the secret rooftop afterparty. Tickets for this delicious self guided stroll start at just $25.

Tickets for the Mardi Gras festivities: $25 for GA tickets and $70 for VIP tickets. Price increases on January 17. Upgrade your Mardi Gras experience by going VIP for an exclusive night on the town complete with VIP entry, 7 complimentary drinks, $1 off drinks at the VIP Lounge Bar, access to the Exclusive VIP Lounge and Stage, VIP restrooms, and VIP Parade Viewing.
