San Diego, CA–The San Diego Strike Force has hired premiere athletic trainer, entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker Todd Durkin as general manager.

Durkin, a San Diego business leader, will build the team’s culture from the front office to the players and oversee football operations. He will report directly to team president, Vivi Lin.

“Todd’s connection to San Diego and to sports is unmatched. He knows what it will take to bring together a new team and high-performing athletes to be successful. He cultivates leaders. I expect that he will elevate our youth, military, business, and regional communities to help us win championships on the field, and the hearts of our fans,” said Lin.

Durkin has spent more than two decades in San Diego building his world-class Fitness Quest 10 facility, training dozens of high-profile professional athletes including NFL MVPs, Super Bowl champions, Heisman Trophy winners, Olympic and X-Games gold medalists, and World Series champions. An IDEA and ACE Personal Trainer of the Year, Jack LaLanne Award winner and finalist in the 2017 series NBC STRONG, he has also written three motivational books. His non-profit, Durkin IMPACT Foundation (501c3), has given back over $250,000 to individuals and families in need since its founding in 2012.

“This opportunity with the San Diego Strike Force allows me to combine my passion for football, business, entertainment, and impact. I know winning, I know business and I know how to make a deep impact. Vivi has made it clear the goal is to bring a championship culture to San Diego. I agree. I can’t wait to get started,” said Durkin.

The next open tryout for the San Diego Strike Force is November 20. The 2022 season kicks off on March 21 away against the Bay Area Panthers; the home opener is March 28 against the Arizona Rattlers.
