San Diego police to sell unclaimed property

SAN DIEGO–The San Diego Police Department will schedule a sale of unclaimed property August 28 at an auction at the Balboa Park Club, 2080 Pan American Plaza in Balboa Park.

There will be a variety of items for sale, including 100 bicycles and the usual assortment of mixed lots. There are several items including, sports cards, navigational systems, gun cases and scopes, as well as a number of large power and hand tools. There are digital cameras, IPods, brand new large televisions and other electronics. New items of clothing are also included in the lots for sale. Video game systems and sporting goods, including golf clubs and baseball bats, will also be available. There are a large number of gift cards from various businesses. Assorted costume and fine jewelry, including lots containing only gold that been verified.

Viewing of the items for sale will be from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on the day of the sale. The sale will begin at 9:30 a.m. Free parking is available on a first come, first served basis.

Those interested are encouraged to arrive during the viewing time so they can examine the merchandise for sale. There will be approximately 250 lots of property for sale.

Purchases may be made with cash or personal checks drawn from local banks only, with proper identification. Credit cards will not be accepted for payment. There will be no refunds and no guarantees on the property sold.
