SAN DIEGO–Homicide detectives arrested a 24 year-old San Diego man Tuesday morning at his apartment and charged him in the 2014 murder of Rodney Harmon.
San Diego Police SWAT Team assisted detectives in the execution of a search warrant at an apartment in the 4900 block of Auburn Drive. Nicholas Edward Davis was taken into custody and transported to police headquarters. During a search of the residence, detectives’ located evidence believed to be related to the murder.
On Sunday, November 16, 2014, the San Diego Police Department received a 911 call of a male shot at the “Crown Hookah Lounge”, located at 7059 El Cajon Blvd. When officers arrived, they found 29 year-old Rodney Harmon of San Diego suffering from gunshot wounds to his chest. Life saving efforts were attempted, but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two suspects, Verenee Readus, 28, and Carl Antuan Martin, 33, are currently in custody for the murder of Harmon. Neil Downey, 26, is currently a wanted fugitive and has a $2,000,000.00 warrant for his arrest in the murder of Rodney Harmon.
Davis has been booked into County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
