San Diego Legal Professionals Unite To Host “Couture For A Cause” Fundraiser

SAN DIEGO–Seven San Diego legal organizations announced today they will host the 8th annual fashion show fundraiser “ Couture for a Cause” on September 24 at the San Diego Hall of Champions in Balboa Park.

The proceeds will benefit children’s charities  Voices for Children, a nonprofit working to ensure that abused, neglected and abandoned children who have become dependents of the San Diego County Court will have a safe and permanent home, and  STAR/PAL, a nonprofit empowering underserved youth to build a safer and more prosperous community by engaging with law enforcement and collaborative partners.

Couture is hosted by the San Diego Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators in partnership with the International Legal Technology Association-San Diego, Legal Marketing Association-Southern California Chapter, San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association, San Diego Legal Secretaries Association, San Diego Paralegal Association and the Tom Homann Law Association of San Diego.

The evening will feature Patricia Zlaket, Esq. of Zlaket Law Offices, APC as Mistress of Ceremonies and Health Savings Associates Insurance Services, Inc. as the Platinum Sponsor.  The fashions will be supplied by Ron Stuart Men’s Clothing and Chico’s Fashion Valley. Models will include retired judge Linda Quinn of Judicate West, along with San Diego attorneys Sophia Behnia of Littler Mendelson, Melissa Deleon of Casey Gerry, Victor Huerta of New Lawyer Division of the San Diego County Bar Association, Michael Neil of Neil Dymott, Derek Paradis of Higgs Fletcher & Mack, Jaikaran Singh of Dentons and Beth Wendle of Morris Polich & Purdy.  Vivianna Penn will model on behalf of Voices for Children and Gisell Guirre will participate from STAR/PAL.

The event will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Pre-show festivities include complimentary hors d’oeuvres, cash bar and a silent auction. Admission is $50 per person or $350 for a group of eight.
