San Diego Humane Society Celebrates National Adopt-A-Shelter Dog Month

October 15, 2015 By sdcnews

SAN DIEGO–October is National Adopt-a-Shelter Dog month, and San Diego Humane Society is celebrating with “Dare to Believe,” a special adoption  weekend October 16 to 18 at all San Diego Humane Society campus locations.

Adoption fees for all adult dogs will be reduced to just $7 during this special event. Several authors of pet-themed books will be on-site on October 17 at San Diego Humane Society’s San Diego Campus for book sales and autograph signing and to share their inspirational stories of animals who have helped them “dare to believe.”

The first 20 adopters will receive two complimentary tickets to see Annie from Broadway San Diego.

The first 50 adopters will receive a free copy of True Tails from the Dog Park, written by local authors Kari and Carey.

The 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. adoptions will be held at the Humane Society’s San Diego, Escondido and Oceanside Campuses.
