SAN DIEGO–Digital Group Audio (DGA), developer and manufacturer of innovative, high quality audio/video products dedicated to “Perfecting Portable Sound”, will donate proceeds during the month of June to Special Olympics Southern California San Diego (SOSC) through its 20-20 deal. Throughout the month, DGA will offer $20 off of its benchmark product, Livespeakr™, for purchases made at www.dgastore.com. DGA will donate an additional $20 of every sale to the SOSC to support year-round sports training and athletic competitions for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
“SOSC’s mission to translate positive and successful experiences in sports into success in the classroom, home and workplace, resonated powerfully with our team at DGA,” said DGA President Erik Groset. “Livespeakr can accompany SOSC athletes throughout their various transitions. Whether at the gym, on the field, on long bus rides, in the classroom, or at home, Livespeakr allows music, games, videos and webcasts to be consistently accessible to the athletes.”
Special Olympics Southern California San Diego gives people with intellectual disabilities opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes, and the community.
Jamie Brown, Regional Director for the SOSC, added, “In the past, we have had to actively seek out local companies to participate in our sponsorships or donate. Digital Group Audio is the first company to proactively step up and offer its support. We couldn’t be more pleased and excited.”
