FALLBROOK–Jill Jones, award winning artist from Riverside County, will host Brandon Gallery’s May paint-in, demonstrating her unique style and technique for painters.
Jones invites other artists from the community to join Brandon members and set up their easels to paint or sketch and share insights and approaches to developing subject matter.
The program runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 12
Brandon’s paint-ins occur on the second Thursday of every month throughout 2011. The program is designed as a outreach program to broaden the gallery’s involvement with the artistic community in North San Diego and Southwest Riverside counties.
The following paint-in will be held on Thursday, June 9.
Each month member and guest artists from San Diego and Riverside counties display hundreds of pieces of art that include textiles and sculpture, jewelry and gourd art, oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors and pastels, greeting cards, printmaking, photography and digital media and artist supplies.
Brandon Gallery, a division of Fallbrook Arts, Inc., is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The gallery is located at 105 N. Main, one door off Alvarado in the Village of Fallbrook. It is a non-profit artists’ cooperative with 27 members representing many major creative disciplines. Visit www.fallbrookbrandongallery.org.
