SAN DIEGO–Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego Police Department’s Traffic Division are asking for assistance from the public to help identify and locate a suspect wanted in a felony hit and run.
On June 5, an adult male was driving a tan colored Saturn southbound on 3600 College Avenue near the intersection with Streamview Drive. The traffic signal was green and the male proceeded through the intersection. A male driving a red Honda Accord eastbound on Streamview Drive drove through the intersection, ran a red light, and collided with the victim’s vehicle. The driver continued northbound on the College Avenue frontage road and stopped about 100 yards away from the crash scene. The male driver ran from the vehicle in an unknown direction. It was later determined that the Honda was an unreported stolen vehicle. The victim suffered a fractured foot during the collision.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, late 30’s, at least six feet tall, weighing about 200 pounds with short dark colored hair and was clean shaven.
