SAN DIEGO–Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 44 year-old male found lying in a grass area adjacent to Morley Field Veledrome in Balboa Park.
San Diego police received a call at 7:08 a.m. Sunday of an unconscious male near the area of Balboa Park. The male had suffered a gunshot wound to the upper body and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Detectives are conducting their investigation at the scene.
The victim’s identity is known, but will not be released until family notifications have been made.
