SAN DIEGO—Investigators arrested a San Diego man in connection with three homicides in San Diego and Riverside, San Diego police said Saturday.
On December 24, 2013, at 1:15 a.m., officers found 22-year-old Salvatore Belvedere and 22-year-old Ilona Flint deceased in a vehicle near 1600 Camino Del Rio North. Both victims had sustained gunshot wounds.
Salvatore’s brother, 24-year-old Gianni Belvedere, became a missing person on the same date.
On January 17, Gianni Belvedere was found deceased in the trunk of a vehicle in the 19500 block of Van Buren Boulevard, in Riverside.
On June 20, at about 10:30 p.m., officers arrested 29-year-old Carlo Gallopa Mercado in the 8700 block of Westmore Road in San Diego.
Mercado was charged with three counts of murder and booked into the San Diego County Central Jail.
