San Marcos, CA–A pedestrian was struck and killed in a vehicle collision Tuesday in San Marcos, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said.
Sheriff’s deputies received a report at around 11:24 p.m., of an injury in a traffic collision involving a pedestrian near the 1300 block of West Mission Road. Upon arrival, deputies learned a white Dodge Ram 1500 pickup collided with the 29-year-old male pedestrian while traveling west on West Mission Road. The pedestrian died at the scene. The 56-year-old male driver of the pickup did not sustain any injuries.
Speed and alcohol were not factors in the collision, according to authorities.
The investigation is ongoing by the San Marcos Traffic Division.
