SAN DIEGO–Palomar Pomerado Health (PPH) will present “Dine with the Docs: Focus on Heart Health” on Thursday, February 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido, 340 North Escondido Blvd. in downtown Escondido.
This unique learning opportunity is the first in a three-part series providing men and women with an open forum to discuss some of today’s most pressing health issues with board-certified physicians. Former 10 News anchor and PPH health champion Carol LeBeau will emcee the series.
“February is heart month and our goal is to raise awareness among women and men of all ages about their risk for heart disease, and to educate them on what they can do to reduce that risk, identify symptoms early, and seek appropriate treatment,” says LeBeau. “How often do you get the chance to sit with three cardiologists, ask questions of them, and learn the latest information about heart disease? I encourage anyone interested in their heart health to attend this important presentation.”
Featured PPH physician speakers include Mikhail Malek, M.D., Daniel Mulvihill, M.D., and Robert Stein, M.D. In addition to the physician-led presentation, blood pressure and body composition screenings will be provided, and each registered guest will receive a certificate for a free cholesterol screening at any area PPH expresscare location. Plus, each guest or couple will also take home a free first-aid kit.
The cost to attend is $30 per person or $55 per couple which includes a healthy dinner, exhibits, featured speakers, health screenings and more. To register for “Dine with the Docs: Focus on Heart Health,” call The HealthSource at (800) 628-2880, or visit www.pph.org.
