SAN DIEGO–One male driver is dead after a female driver slammed into his vehicle causing it to rollover and crash, a CHP spokesman said Wednesday.
CHP says at approximately 8:07 p.m., a 20 year old female out of San Diego was driving a white Nissan Altima southbound on Interstate-5 south of State Route 52. For reasons still being investigated, the Nissan collided into the rear of a white Ford E350 driven by a 52 year-old Hispanic male of San Diego. The force of impact caused the Ford to veer off the roadway, up an embankment and overturn. The driver of the Ford was transported to Scripps Hospital in La Jolla where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Nissan did not sustain any injuries. Alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected to be a factor in the traffic collision.
