SAN DIEGO–Historic Old Town San Diego will celebrate the lives of those who have passed at the annual Dia de los Muertos celebration at the park.
The festive celebration, in it’s fifth year, will begin October 31 to November 2, and will include many shops, restaurants, and vendors for three days of various activities. Get hands on with various arts and crafts at several locations. Walk through the streets of Old Town while listening to traditional and contemporary music
Everyone is invited to visit the public altar where attendees are encouraged to participate by adding your own mementos and photos. Enjoy the Dia de los Muertos celebration through the customs and culture of this important holiday. Get your face painted at one of the many face painting stations throughout Old Town before touring the altars. Enjoy a traditional meal at one of Old Towns many wonderful restaurants. Join in the candlelit procession on November 2 which symbolizes community unity which will proceed from the state park to El Campo Santo cemetery.
