OCEANSIDE–The Oceanside Public Library will host Tide-Pool Treasures presented by Birch Aquarium Scripps Institute of Oceanography.
Through the use of puppets and live animals, children will explore the world of tide pools and learn how creatures, such as sea urchins, hermit crabs, snails and sea stars find food, protect themselves, and move about in their ever-changing tide-pool habitat. Children and parents will also get the chance to meet and talk with artist Julia Anthony who is currently painting the ocean themed mural in the children’s story corner of the library.
The event begins at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12 at the Civic Center Library, 330 North Coast Highway in downtown Oceanside.
The event is free and for all ages.
