OCEANSIDE–The Oceanside Public Library will celebrate National Library Week by offering special programs from April 14 to April 20.
The week will kick-off with a free concert featuring Americana duo Hungrytown at 5 p.m. on April 15 at the Mission Branch Library. The Civic Center Library will host open houses at 3:30 p.m. on April 16 and 18 in the Heritage Room. Guests will tour the room and explore the library’s special collection of local and California history. A special story time will be held in the Heritage Room on April 19 at 10:30 a.m., and will showcase the library’s collection of vintage children’s books.
In addition, during National Library Week, the library will be offering an Amnesty Week for overdue items. Amnesty Week is an opportunity for the library to welcome back customers who have stopped visiting or using the library’s services because of overdue charges or unreturned items. During Amnesty Week, return your overdue items to any Oceanside Public Library location and have the fines on those items forgiven. Lost items and other fines and fees are not eligible.
