OCEANSIDE–Oceanside police are asking the public’s assistance in searching for a male juvenile who ran away from home Friday.
Shawn Ryan Dowlearn, 15, left on a gray 26″ Murray mountain bike and had a military style backpack with him filled with camping equipment. He was wearing the hat shown in this photo, a gray jacket and faded black jeans, with gray and black sneakers.
Dowlearn’s family went out for dinner. When they returned home, they discovered Dowlearn had run away. He left a note for his parents he would be back in a couple of years. No suspicious activity or foul play is suspected. Dowlearn likes to camp and likes to go on adventures.
