Oceanside High School student, two adults stabbed during a brawl outside the campus

Oceanside, CA–An Oceanside High School student and two adults were stabbed Monday afternoon during a physical altercation outside the campus, authorities said.

Oceanside police received a report around 3:27 p.m. of a stabbing with multiple victims adjacent to campus on Horne Street at Mission Avenue. When officers arrived, they located three victims. One unidentified female student was struck and sustained injuries to her mouth. Another female who was not a student sustained a life-threatening injury from being stabbed in her stomach. She was transported to Scripps La Jolla for surgery. The third victim was stabbed in the arm and he was taken to Tri-City Hospital for treatment. The person is believed to be an uninvolved pedestrian, Oceanside Police Department spokesman Tom Bussey said.

The male suspect is identified as a 17-year-old Oceanside High School. The student has not been located. 

Investigators believe the incident could be a result of an ongoing dispute between individuals. Anyone with information regarding the incident in encouraged to call Detective Sergeant Garcia at (760)435-4815.
