North County Transit District Alert Public Of Potential Service Disruptions

July 28, 2016 By sdcnews

breezeSAN DIEGO–First Transit is alerting customers of a potential service disruption for its Lift paratransit (Lift), Flex, and Breeze operations at the North County Transit District (NCTD).

This potential disruption is due to Union negotiations between NCTD’s service operator, First Transit, and the Lift and Flex drivers and reservationists.

Based on information about the current status of negotiations, NCTD Lift and Flex operations have been advised that a service disruption by the Union employees may begin on Thursday, July 28. This would create a disruption in service for the passengers of NCTD Lift, Flex service, and possibly Breeze fixed route.

Although the Union and First Transit continue to negotiate a mutually acceptable resolution, we encourage the passengers of NCTD Lift and Flex, to plan ahead for this potential disruption.

NCTD does not anticipate any COASTER and SPRINTER disruption, but passengers are advised to have alternate transportation arrangements as a backup should any unforeseen disruptions occur.

First Transit will notify NCTD and the public immediately in the case of a service disruption.

Passengers can contact NCTD Lift service at (760) 726-1111 and Flex at (855) 844-1454 for questions or to obtain trip planning assistance. General trip planning assistance for NCTD’s other service modes should be directed to Customer Service at 760-966-6500.
