VALLEY CENTER–Two violent fugitives of Transylvania, North Carolina were arrested Wednesday afternoon at the Harrah’s Casino in Valley Center, authorities say.
The suspects, Jonathan Richardson,27, and Erin Hogsed, 20 were both wanted for kidnapping, armed robbery, and vehicle theft by the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina. Information gathered by the Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office led them to advise San Diego law enforcement that the pair may have traveled to the San Diego area. Richardson was considered armed and dangerous.
At approximately 10:24 a.m., a sheriff’s deputy spotted a stolen vehicle related to the North Carolina fugitives in a parking structure at the Harrah’s Casino in Valley Center. In conjunction with Harrah’s security personnel, Valley Center Sheriff’s deputies, and members of the San Diego Fugitive Task Force, the couple was located and safely taken into custody without incident.
Richardson and Hogsed was booked into the Vista Detention Facility for the warrants out of North Carolina, and will remain there while awaiting extradition back to North Carolina.
