Night Work Begins On State Route 67 Centerline Project

SAN DIEGO–Caltrans crews have scheduled nighttime work on State Route 67 (SR-67) between Cloudy Moon Drive and Rockhouse Road in Ramona through May 18.

Crews will work Tuesday through Thursday from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the first week, and the same hours Sundays through Thursdays in subsequent weeks.  The construction activities are part of the SR-67 Centerline Project.

The work will require lane closures and one-way traffic control on some portions of SR-67 within of construction zone. The SR-67 intersections at Scripps Poway Parkway and Poway Road are also subject to lane closures.

Access along SR-67 and the intersections will remain open, however travel times may be delayed.

The SR-67 Centerline Project will install flexible channelizer posts along the SR-67 median from Willow Road in Lakeside to Shady Oaks Drive in Ramona. Fixed Changeable Message Sign (CMS) stations will be installed in advance of alternate routes and will provide real-time information about incidents ahead. Closed Circuit Television Cameras will be installed to monitor the highway at the CMS stations. The safety enhancements are expected to reduce the number and severity of cross-centerline collisions along SR-67. Construction will be completed in fall.
