MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR–A Third Marine Aircraft Wing pilot, based out of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, was killed when his F/A-18C Hornet crashed during a training mission at a military base.
Military officials say Thursday’s accident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Twentynine Palms.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
