VISTA–A motorcyclist was fatally injured when a vehicle collided with his motorcycle in Vista, a Sheriff’s deputy spokesman said Monday.
Deputies from the Vista Patrol Station responded to a report of a traffic collision between a motorcycle and a vehicle at the intersection of Emerald Drive and Promenade Circle. As deputies arrived at the location, they located a 29-year-old motorcyclist in the roadway who had succumbed to his injuries.
The motorcycle collided with a Honda Accord that was turning left from southbound Emerald Drive onto Promenade Circle. The motorcyclist was ejected from the motorcycle and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the Honda Accord was transported to Tri-City Hospital for evaluation and treatment of her non-life threatening injuries.
The speed of the motorcycle is suspected to be a factor in the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
