LAKESIDE–Sheriff’s deputies arrested a mother for alleged child endangerment and assault on a vice principal at Lakeside Middle School Monday.
DSheriff’s deputies received a call of a battery Tuesday at Lakeside Middle School. Upon investigation they discovered that Monique Martin entered the school and demanded to pick up her son. When administrators asked for her identification, Martin became combative and physically assaulted the vvice pprincipal. She then returned home and left her three-year-old daughter at home after telling the neighbor to care for the child.
Martin then drove to Santee where she passed deputies at a high rate of speed Town Center Parkway. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Martin. She became combative with deputies and force was used to take her into custody. Martin was arrested and transported to Sharp Grossmont Hospital for evaluation prior to being booked in to the Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility. Two deputies involved in the use of force sustained minor injuries and had complaints of pain. They were treated and released from a local hospital.
