MCAS MiraMar To Conduct Fire Burn Saturday

MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR–The Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Fire Department is scheduled to conduct an annual burn from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The burn is in preparation for the upcoming MCAS Miramar Air Show, scheduled October 2 to 4. The burn is conducted to support the pyrotechnics display conducted by station Explosive Ordnance Disposal personnel. Some flames and smoke may be visible from nearby roadways; however, no visibility restrictions are expected and these fires are in a controlled environment.
