Masked Bank Robber Uses Large Plastic Cup To Collect Stolen Cash

June 16, 2018 By sdcnews

SAN DIEGO–The FBI and the San Diego Violent Crimes Task Force are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the individual responsible for a bank robbery in San Diego.

On June 14, a bank robbery occurred at the Mission Federal Credit Union, located at 269 West Washington Street in San Diego.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., the robber entered the bank and approached a teller while holding a large plastic “Big Gulp” cup in his left hand. While at the teller station, the robber removed a handgun from his pocket with his right hand, pointed the handgun at the teller, and made a verbal demand for money. The teller provided money to the robber by placing cash from his drawer into the large cup. The robber proceeded to a second teller and made a second verbal demand for money while continuing to brandish his weapon. The second teller also placed a sum of money inside the plastic cup. Thereafter, the robber fled the bank on foot.
