Maritime Museum of San Diego

SAN DIEGO–Maritime Museum of San Diego pays tribute to Comic-Con at this year’s Parade of Lights dinner on December 8 and 15.

Parade judges will be stationed aboard the museum’s 1904 steam yacht Medea while brightly decorated boats pass by the museum, located at 1492 North Harbor Drive along the north embarcadero between Ash and Grape Streets.

A delicious dinner will be served and no-host bar will be open on the upper deck of the Berkeley from 5 to 8 p.m.

Tickets are $60 for adults, seniors 62 and older, students 13 to 17 and military and $25 for children ages 3 to 12. Advance reservations are recommended and tickets may be purchased online at www.sdmaritime.org. Children under 2 are free. Tickets to the dinner and parade include Museum general admission.

General admission to Maritime Museum of San Diego includes freedom to explore the entire historic vessel fleet including the world’s oldest sailing ship Star of India, Soviet submarine, USS Dolphin submarine, Victorian-era steam ferryboat Berkeley, galleon replica San Salvador, schooner Californian, and PCF 816 Vietnam-era military Swift boat plus fascinating exhibits found among an array of below deck galleries. The museum is open daily 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
