OCEANSIDE–A man’s body was found floating in the San Luis Rey River adjacent to Capistrano Park in Oceanside on Saturday, the Oceanside Police Department said.
Police officers received a call at around 12:17 p.m. from a pedestrian reporting a body in the river. Oceanside Fire Department personnel along with Life Guards also responded to the scene. The body of a white male was located and removed from the water. The unidentified victim had been in the water for some time, according to authorities.
The San Diego Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy.
The incident is under investigation.
