SAN DIEGO—Investigators are asking for the public’s help in locating a man suspected of killing a Lakeside woman and a child.
Sheriff’s deputies found the charged remains of the woman and child in a burned home in the 2000 block of Ross Avenue in Boulevard on Sunday evening.
The woman, Christina Anderson, 41, was the girlfriend of the suspect, James Lee DiMaggio, 40. investigators say. The charred body of the child has not be identified. Investigators believe DiMaggio was responsible in setting the blaze to his home.
Anderson’s two children, Hannah, 16 and Ethan, 8, are missing. Investigators say DiMaggio may have kidnapped the two children. A Amber Alert has been issued in the State of California. He could be heading to Canada or Texas, investigators added.
Ethan is 4-foot-11inches tall; 65 pounds, with sandy blond hair, and Hannah is 5-foot-7 inches; 115 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. She wears a nose stud and navel ring.
