CARLSBAD–Carlsbad police are searching for three suspects in the stabbing of a male Thursday evening in downtown Carlsbad.
Officers received a call from a security guard at the Motel 6 who reported a stabbing. The security guard stated the victim had been stabbed several times. When officers arrived, they located the victim on the sidewalk. The victim was flown to Scripps Hospital, La Jolla for treatment.
According to a police official, the extent of the victim’s injuries were unknown.
The suspects fled from the Motel 6 in an unknown dark colored SUV. Officer searched the area for the suspects but they were not found.
The suspects are described as a white male and female, and a Hispanic male. Ages of the suspects are unknown.
The Carlsbad Police Department’s Crimes of Violence Unit is investigating the incident.
