LAKESIDE–A man driving in Lakeside near Highway 67 suffered a gunshot wound to his arm by an unknown driver, San Diego Sheriff’s Department said.
The shooting was reported shortly before 6 p.m. near Wintergardens Golf Course and Highway 67.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered an adult male next to his car with a gunshot wound to the arm. A witness stated that the victim was shot at by an unknown suspect in another vehicle. The victim pulled off the roadway and the suspect vehicle fled the scene.
The suspects are described as a black male driver and white male passenger in a white four door sedan. The victim was transported to the hospital to undergo surgery. The circumstances around the shooting are still unknown.
The investigation is ongoing.
