Man In Black Jeep Tries To Kidnap Two Children

April 6, 2016 By sdcnews

SAN DIEGO–Investigators are searching for a male driver who attempted to kidnap an 8 year-0ld boy and 10 year-old girl walking home from school in Scripps Ranch, San Diego police said Tuesday.

San Diego police says a man in a black jeep was following the children on the 10500 block of Scripps Trail. The children told police officers the driver pulled over and waited for them to pass by him. At one point the man exited the Jeep and tried to kidnap them, but the children managed to escape and ran up a hill. The man got back in his vehicle and drove off.

Investigators describe the man as white, five feet, eight inches tall with dirty blond hair. He has “messed up” left eye. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with camouflage pants and red and white shoes. The jeep is black with black fenders and a black top.

Anyone with information on the location of the man is urged to call San Diego police at (858) 538-8000.
